An Update about the Celtics injuries!

Shaquille O'Neal did not practice Monday at the team's practice facility but the Celtics coach Doc Rivers had some good news to report about his condition. "What I know is that it's a calf strain, and it's not that bad, not that severe," Rivers said. "He may play at the end of the week but we're not sure yet. We're going to do whatever is required."

Meanwhile, Nenad Krstic returned to practice after missing the past two games with a bone bruise in his right knee and said there is no reason he could not play tomorrow against the Philadelphia 76ers. Krstic said he felt some knee soreness but not enough to cause him to miss another game.

Then we still have Troy Murphy, who missed the past road trip with a sprained right ankle. Also good news from him he participated in the Celtics practice and could return this week. Last but not least, Jermaine O'Neal made it through the weekend's game OK and he could start Tuesday against the 76ers.

Tough to see the big man lose some of his step -- Hopefully he can regain some of that classic swagger in time for the post-season. They're gonna need him. East is lookin' mean! Trust me, I'm a Blazer's fan... and injuries are our thing. :(

That explains it i guess...
I still think it happened because he's old

Sounds like injuries shouldn't be holding the Celtics back much. Bummer about Shaq, at least its nothing too big.

If both O'Neals are not up to form by playoff time, i see serious problems for this team. Shouldve never traded away perkins.

Let's hope that it won't get his knee worsen.

Holy shit Shaq makes that basketball look tiny! He could probably throw it like a baseball if he really wanted to.

DerpFiles said...

Huh, shaq plays for the Celtics? I admit I never cared much for basketball but I was living in Boston when they won the championship. My fiance's apartment was overlooking the Garden. God that area of Boston is loud. Maybe you'll help me get back into basketball.
