A loss within a win!

As I stated in the last post, Shaquille was close to a return after dealing with his strained left Achilles tendon. Well.., he did return to the court on Sunday and he scored 6 points in 5 minutes, before coming up injured again. O'Neal left in the second quarter with a right calf strain, raising new questions about whether he will be able to contribute in the playoffs.
The Boston Celtics did manage to get the win, mainly due Garnett and Pierce. The final score; 101-90, where Kevin Garnett totaled 23 points and eight rebounds and Paul Pierce added 22 points and six boards.

The third quarter was the key for Boston, which outscored Detroit 33-18. The Celtics were outscored, 24-19, in the final quarter, but it was too late for the Pistons to complete the comeback.
The Celtics shot 64.1 percent from the field, which is a season second best. Ray Allen finished with 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Glen Davis added 11 points and six rebounds and Delonte West scored 10 off the bench.
More on Shaquille’s injury later, keep in touch.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes both in the same game.

It'll be a shame when shaquille finally hangs them up. He's been an icon of the game for such a long time now.

Ever since they traded away Perkins, the center situation is messed up. Hope Shaq gets better.

Celtics are a deep team. They have what they need for a national championship.

Megan Hansen said...

They are really missing perkins now...they're in trouble if they can't get this center stuff straightened out. It's the second most important position on the court. You can't win in the playoffs like this.

wow
shaq is a really good player but he needs to remimber that he's old and cant ball like he did back in the day
